Ally + Glaydon. Fall. In Love, pt II

Hello again, friends! Shall we continue with the goodness that is Ally + Glaydon’s perfect day?  Onward…loveliness courtesy of McLellan Style!

The two wed at Baskin Chapel at Brentwood Baptist. This gorgeous chapel is all dark wood and creamy ivory walls. We kept the decor refined in autumn tones: orange pomanders at every other pew, secured with orange ribbon.  Stately and classic candelabra with candles, and a tree-style altar piece.undefined

I love pomanders. True story: these were initially to be carnations, but the carnations came in this AWFUL, SCARY shade of orange. It was like…well, it was unspeakable and gross. And I cried a lot about it. I drove all around town looking for the perfect colored mum to make these pomanders. And thankfully…I found them:undefined

Love the floor at Baskin.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

The altar centerpiece: a manzanita base, with a mossy container. the florals were all in harmony with the shades of the wedding: oranges, soft reds, and ivoryundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

The flower girl tossed petals in orangeundefined

The bride escorted down the aisle by her father (gets me teary every time I see it, with every bride– perfection!)undefined

And off to the reception they go, bubbles abounding! Stay tuned for the reception pics!

Ally - Hillary, you are so profesh, I never knew about this disaster-carnation situation until now! You’re amazing!

Ally + Glaydon: Fall. In love (pt I)

I admit that pretty much all my couples are cool, but every so often I have a bride + groom that are SUPER cool.  That’s Ally + Glaydon. Ally’s got the best sense of humor,  and Glaydon is about the nicest, most down to earth kinda guy you’ll ever have a chance to meet. No wonder they met up and fell in love. Helping to tell their story: McLellan Style, who took the most lovely images of their day. The event was coordinated by Kristin with Simply Stunning, the wedding was held at Baskin Chapel, and I’ll divulge the other deets as we carry on.

The concept: Modern Autumn with shades of orange ,purples, greens, and ivories. The inspiration board for their wedding:

The dress: ivory lace (swoon)

The groom, dapper in white tie…undefined

The bride. This pic is sooo Ally: fantastic!undefinedundefined

Glaydon wore an orange unique rose + the guys wore a champagne rose called “sahara”, embellished with seeded eucalyptus, wrapped in brown, and accented with gold wire. undefinedundefined

The bride’s bouquet was beautiful… shades of orange and peach roses, dahlia, and callas. Wrapped in ivory with accents of orange and pearl pinsundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

The moms wore pinned corsages in the same shades:undefinedundefinedundefined‘I love that they took some time to enjoy their day (and it was a beautiful day for November– not at all blustery, all autumn!)undefinedundefined

The ‘maids carried white hydrangea with roses and callas

Lissa + David: Purple Perfection at the Red House

David and Lissa: an epically cool couple who celebrated their destination Nashville wedding last November. The colors: shades of purple + sangria with touches of green + white.  The two wed at The Red House in Franklin. The ceremony was originally planned for outdoors, put a persistent drizzle and cold weather moved the intimate ceremony indoors. The couple + guests still braved the outdoors for s’mores and fun with glowsticks and dancing under the clouds with band Bueller. The end result: one fun wedding.

The brides bouquet combined antique purple hydrangea, amnesia + moon roses, wine colored callas, seeded eucalyptus, and stephanotisundefinedundefined

Lissa = one awesome brideundefinedundefinedundefined

The gals chatted it up pre- wedding in their sangria/spiced wine shaded gownsundefinedundefined

I loved the pinnants under where the band played = “David + Lissa = Awesome” — indeed.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

Yes. A Zombie cake topperundefined

I love this group shot almost as much as I loved the couple. Congrats, ya’ll, and have a killer first anniversary next month!

Randi + Dan, Classic Southern Elegance Pt 2

Yesterday, I introduced you to Randi + Dan’s beautiful wedding with their bouquets and church flowers. Now, onto the reception held at War Memorial Auditorium.  Again, all images courtesy of Kristyn Hogan Photography.

undefinedundefined

The Escort Card Table: visually stunning with escort cards supported by votive candles for a romantic. soft glow. We made coordinating centerpieces for the table in white and ivories, with cascading phalaenopsis orchid sprays. Floating candles along the back of the table completed the look. undefined

A more detailed image of our beautiful arrangement for the escort cards and photo frame table; we also did the draping design behind the front doors of the War Memorial to direct guests into the side doors only.
undefinedundefined

Old photos graced a table of past couples married within the family.undefinedundefined

Inside: each place setting was complemented by a blue-tinted eucalyptus sprig tucked into napkins undefined

Along the rectangular bridal party head table, we did varying heights of low centerpieces with spray rose pomanders as accents:undefinedundefinedundefined

The guest tables featured a mixture of medium and taller height centerpieces of white hydrangea, roses, orchids, and anemone:undefinedundefined

With accents of white dendrobium orchids interspersed– the tabletops were completed with assorted height candles undefined

Our low centerpieces were similar in style to the higher complements.

At the close of the evening, the couple escaped into the night with a sparkler exit:

A million best wishes to Randi + Dan for a lifetime filled with as much happiness as they shared on this, their wedding day!!

Kristyn Hogan - No words to describe how much we loved this wedding :) Made so so gorgeous by your amazing talent, Hillary!

Randi+Dan: Classic Southern Elegance, pt I

Meet Randi– a classic, beautiful southern bride that we had the pleasure of working with for her gorgeous day this past October. As we near her one year anniversary, it seemed appropriate to blog her gorgeous wedding.  All images courtesy Kristyn Hogan;  Wedding venues: The Cathedral of the Incarnation// War Memorial Auditorium; planner Kristin Kaplan//Simply Stunning; Video: 2Duce2;  Event Design: Jonathan Savage. Brocade Designs. The bride’s gown was from The Bride Room.

The design concept: Classic. Elegant. Refined. True romantic beauty with stylized, contemporary touches. The color palatteis dominant with white & ivory, with accents of crisp and clean navy and the glitter of elegant silver.

Her bouquet?  A confection in white with accents of blackish blue from blue-black centered anemone blossoms. undefined

undefined

Her lovely bridesmaids carried bouquets in ivory, and wore blue gowns. undefined

Right before their first look at War Memorial…undefined

I love this shot:)undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
