Keith’s buttonhole was a white rose embellished with green lily grass loops and twine

The bride carried an all white confection of hydrangea, roses, callas, dusty miller and freesia, and the bouquet was wrapped in a ti leaf accented with twine

Her bridesmaids carried a smaller style bouquet (BTW Don’t you love the edging in Sam’s Alvina Valenta gown? Swoon!

Simple white bows and pew markers were the only adornments needed for this sweet chapel

The bride and groom had a clear tent. We did some tall centerpieces accented with greenery and curly willow

And some lower centerpieces in square vases with white hydrangea, roses curly willow and twine accents

We had the most amazing musicians. Now I have to share a bit of truth here, when we were selecting music we wanted to do a mix of traditional Hawaiian tunes, but I wanted to walk down the aisle to “The Luckiest”– a special song between me and the Donald. I picked the billed “Hawaiian Duo” not knowing what they would sound like, and in my mind I kind of feared the worst, like they would be really cheesy and hawaiian. NOT SO. In fact, they were incredible. You can ask Ronelle, who took like seventy-nine photos of them at the ceremony (Way more than the ceremony pictures she too) because they were so awesome. They were Hawaiian Rock Gods. And when they played the Luckiest– which I had feared would cause me to laugh from the Ukele tones, I was floored. They actually sang it and I was completely overcome with emotions…

I just think this photo is cool of our fruit water station.

More program action! I included a history of our relationship, our readings, and the snippets from the songs we chose

All of our guests got to be barefoot (rockin, right?!)

And here I come down the aisle, already crying….

And now he is crying too. Let the ceremony of tears commence!!

Yay, so happy. Our ceremony was perfect. On a side note, our original wedding date was supposed to be June 11, but our amazing photographer, Sam Hassas, had a wedding in CA on 6/12 and the travelling wouldn’t work out, especially for our proposed day after shoot. So we had to move our date to 6/10. I loved June 11 because it was our dating anniversary and I thought it was going to be so sweet to have that same anniversary. But, things are what they are, so we went ahead with 6/10: and let me tell you what, it was a beautiful day. It was sunny and perfect and had the most amazing Sunset. June 11 was cloudy and the sunset was dark, so I think that it all worked out perfectly, don’t you?

The bride’s bouquet was loaded with texture, roses in peach, yellow and purple, peony, hanging amaranthus, baby’s breath… so much lovely depth!

The groom and groomsmen all had different buttonholes too, accented with burlap

The beautiful cake was by Dulce Desserts, accented with fresh blossoms.

Congratulations to this wonderful couple! Best wishes to a beautiful life together!

Rings on Lily Pads. I didn’t have my engagement ring for the wedding (it was being remade) but I think that our ring shots (more to come later) made up for the absense

The Escort Card Table featured a cluster of Hydrangea in mason jars

The centerpieces were white, green, and blue hydrangea– they looked so gorgeous against the sage green linens 

Curly willow accented the bottom of the bubble vases for a rustic elegant. 

The guest book lantern was embellished with seeded eucalyptus, hydrangea, and hypericum berries

The cakes, by Sova Catering, were tiny cupcakes and a “present” cake– and I loved the overlay on the table. 

We hung our mason jar tealights all along the outside walls of Belle Meade Plantation

The lounge area was embellished by vintage furniture from Southern Events– love this look– and we added a sweet low mason jar with hydrangea.

We wish every happiness to this wonderful couple as they embrace their first year of marriage. Congratulations, Becky + Elisha!!

The beach outside of the Four Seasons Hualalai is really rocky, but there’s some gorgeous sand walkways (and very comfy loungers) that we chose for the first location for shooting post first-look

It was an absolutely gorgeous day.

One of my favorite images– I just love the drama of this shot.

The lobby lounge at the hotel was epically beautiful. And they gave us free reign to shoot wherever (and however) we wanted.

I got Don cufflinks with a map of Kona inside of them as a gift and keepsake, it matched the pendant that I had made with the same map inside.

Next, I’ll share our formals…these are so never shown usually in most wedding recaps, but ours were so good I can’t NOT share them with you!

We made a hair fascinator with ranunculus, feathers, and pearl accents:

Hand coiled wire table numbers and pink carnation pomander balls made one of the centerpiece series:

At the close of the evening, the bride and groom escaped into the night. We had such fun working with Kristen and Wes, and know their lives will be nothing short of one long romantic adventure together.
