Tami: sweet, sophisticated, sassy: the quintessential modern southern belle. You may know her as Little Miss Southern I met Tami on a cold evening last December and instantly fell in love with both her and her wedding style: she’s unmistakably kind, has a generous laugh, and loves, loves, loves her now husband and then fiance, Brent. Tami’s vision for her day: clean but soft, all white and green flowers with accents in the room of champagne and navy and white. Elegant, but just a little bit rustic, and totally modern southern. Tami came to our meeting with lots of ideas and tons of vision for her day, and when she left I was just *so* excited about her wedding.
Fast forward from December to May. Tami’s day was May 8, a week after the historic flooding of downtown Nashville. The unthinkable happened: one of Tami’s venues was right on the waterfront and was flooded. Luckily, she had a team of great professionals– including Mary Alice with A Delightful Day, who worked magic and found a brand new venue: The Cannery Ballroom. Amazingly, this space was available (in fact, the ONLY weekend left of the year open) and voila…Tami and Brent had a new reception home. Thankfully, there ceremony space– Woodmont Christian– was safe & dry.
So, let’s get on with the pics by the phenomenal Phindy Studios , starting with an introduction to the beautiful bride, Tami:

Adore her dress, don’t you? It’s by Marissa and she looked PHENOMENAL in it. Like, no words, really.
And her groom, Brent:.jpg)
Brent is amazingly charming and good natured. He’s totally smitten with his wife, and that makes him a pretty alright guy in my book![]()

Her bridesmaids wore a navy blue gown from Priscilla of Boston and carried a bouquet of all green and white blooms.

Roses, hydrangea, stock, callas and salal formed the base for this lovely creation– I loved it so much I *almost* wanted to just keep it for myself
Those are the best bouquets. It was wrapped in champagne ribbon and accented with twine, and Tami added a darling charm:

All of this coordinated beautifully with her magnificent gown and precious shoes:.jpg)

For the boutonnieres: calla lilies accented with a dendrobium blossom, curly willow wisp, and twine:.jpg)
The groomsmen (including both the groom and bride’s father– so sweet):

Showing off their love for the Titans…

We did wrist corsages for the moms: callas and roses:.jpg)
I just love how the colors are so clean and elegant– it’s perfect for a May wedding, and the bridal party looked amazing:

The grass was vibrant and green as Tami and Brent captured some moments together on the church grounds:
