Cannery Ballroom Vendor Open House, Vol I.

A little while back, I did a tablescape design for the Cannery Ballroom Vendor Open House. The event colors were red + black + silver, so I did a play off of the event theme that used oodles of red roses and a touch of white. The fantastic & fabulous Gray Photography (If you’ve yet to see it, check out their new cool website!) were the event photographers, and hooked me up with some stellar shots of my table, which I can’t wait to share!

The Cannery Ballroom is a fantastic venue for a lot of reasons: 1. It’s huge: there’s a lovely entryway area (perfect for a guest book table, gift tables, or kicking off your cocktail hour). 2. It’s beautiful: exposed brick, wood beams, fantastic windows– it’s a beautiful and unique space that combines rustic flavor with an artful elegance– and, it’s a slice of Nashville history. 3. The space rental includes tables, chairs, a built-in bartop (lovely) and massive stage (perfect for your band or DJ) 4. The Cannery event staff is awesome– you definitely should give them & the cannery a try when scouting out venues.

That said, let’s go to the photos!

Exterior of the building: the Cannery was once as its name implies, a Cannery– I love the brick face.

A long view of my tablescape: I utlized dishware (plates, bowls, chargers & glasses) to have the feel of a set table, then festooned with roses:

Of course, I used a lot of candles to create that romantic glow:

I’d been wanting to do a candelabra covered with roses for awhile now, and thought this was a great opportunity to give that idea a whirl– so I did: this silver candelabra is dripping with red roses, then accented with red taper candles:

Because sometimes the little touches are the ones that bring together an idea: my toasting glasses had single-headed red roses with crystals at the base of the glass, and my wineglasses had mini-floating candles on top:
