Cute Alert: A "Fuzzy" Friday
Do I have the perfect gift for your darling little flower girl, ringbearer, or that special someone you want to have something they can cuddle up with! We now carry a cute line of local, handmade, teddy bears! These cute bears come in a variety of shapes & colors and are made by local crafter Gwendolyn of Teddybear Hugs & Things.
What I love about these bears: they are from a pattern Gwen made herself and they are just too cute and adorable for words. What’s more, Gwen takes the time to choose eyes for each bear that she feels meets their unique personality. Adorable!
Too cute, right? Check them out at our studio @ 28 Arcade, downtown nashville, or starting on Monday you can order them on our website! www.brocadedesigns.com
Garden Delights: Vol II
More from the lovely wedding held at the Hermitage!
We did a variety of arrangements: on the cocktail tables surrounding the dance floor, a small cube was filled with an illuminating LED light in tiffany blue. A few images:

The tabletops featured tall cylinder vases with a submerged stargazer lily, and then had a floating candle at the top:

For the cake, the top was embellished with fresh lilies, hypericum berries, and roses:

What a delightful garden wedding! Thanks to Evin Photography for the amazing images to blog with!
Garden Delights: A beautiful wedding at the Hermitage: Vol I
In May, I had the pleasure of working with a wonderful bride, Lisa, with the color scape of pale pinks, creams, and a touch of tiffany blue. Beautiful, right? The super-wonderful Evin from Evin Photography was so very kind to take these stellar images from this too-perfect wedding. Enjoy!
The blushing bride had a few must-use flowers: her favorite bloom, stock, was incorporated into the bouquets (white for the bride, pink for the bridesmaids); tulips were another imperative bloom: the bride’s dad is from Holland, so we used lots of lovely tulips. The bridesmaids bouquets integrated a bit more pink. A few of the details:

Forget the Week, It's Friday
Woo-hoo, it’s Friday. For me, that means another awesome wedding-filled weekend, and I am super psyched. I love getting up and knowing that in the next few days, some very special couples are about to take their first steps as man & wife, and that I get to be in some small way part of that– it’s one of the best parts of my job.
I wanted to kick of the weekend o’ celebrations for these couples & for you (’cause come on, Friday = first night of the weekend) with a bouquet to make you “forget” the week: an amnesia rose bouquet.
Amnesia is a rose that has a very antique quality: it’s almost a desaturated purple on it’s base, with color that comes up and fills the tips of the petals with edges of purple and then you get an extra cool impact with the slightly green tinted tips on the tops of the rose: super unique!
I made up this bouquet for a lovely bride in June. Her small wedding party included her three darling girls, who carried little mini-bouquets. How cute is that? The bride had seen the amnesia rose in a magazine and had her wedding colors completely coordinate with the rose: purple, green, and as an accent– chocolate brown became her primary color palatte. The resulting bouquet was nothing short of beautiful, check out the gallery below for the details:

The bouquet handle was dressed with chocolate brown double-faced satin, then embellished with purple ribbon and pearl pins.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
